What is Attachment Parenting?
I believe that Dr. William Sears, a pediatrician, has coined this phrase. Attachment parenting is a style of parenting that emphasizes working towards making children secure in their worlds early in life so that they are secure in themselves throughout their lives. According to The Baby Book written by Dr. Sears and his wife, Martha, the basic ingredients of attachment parenting (often shortened to AP) are:
